FENCES

Fences are needed to control domestic animals, for privacy and marking property boundaries, and to exclude nuisance animals. Fences to confine dogs to an area around the house should be high enough so that dogs and wallabies are unable to jump or scale them.

Fences can hinder wallaby movements, entangle, cripple or cause their death.

Boundary fencing should not hinder the free movement of wallabies through the area.

Don't fence the entire block

Don't fence across gullies or steep slopes

Don't use net or barbed wire

Use strand plastic covered wire (which is visible to wallabies) for boundary fencing
